Summer Afternoon Comedy Spectacular

This year has been challenging for all live entertainment venues, but at Poodle Club we are 100% committed to bringing the best live comedy to South London for many years to come, so in order to stay afloat we will be doing what we do best - putting on fabulous comedy, just in a different venue.

Our big summer fundraising COMEDY SPECTACULAR will be Saturday 15th August in Sunny Sydenham (okay, technically it's Catford, but it's just at Bell Green by the Sydenham B&Q). Our lovely host venue Livesey Halls, a beautiful Edwardian working men's club with a full bar in their spacious bowling green at 225 Perry Hill, London SE6 4HD.

The 3-HOUR non-stop open-air comedy marathon will be jam-packed with 12 or more of our very favourite comedians including compere Kate Smurthwaite, Marcel Lucont, Maureen Younger, Esther Manito, Archie Maddox and many more.

PLEASE BRING A BLANKET TO SIT ON. If you are unable to sit on the ground due to disability please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. The venue is wheelchair accessible, so please let us know if you'll be using a wheelchair so we have a spot prepared for you.

Our host venue is very kindly providing indoor and outdoor bars with very reasonably priced beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks, so NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES will be permitted but you are welcome to bring your own picnic food providing you take any rubbish away with you. Groups of up to 6 people can be seated together provided you let us know well in advance so we can reserve a safely distanced seating area for you.

NOTE: There is NO ON-SITE PARKING at the venue.

MASKS - For your own safety and that of our volunteers and staff, we will ask that all guests wear masks upon arrival until you are seated in your own safely spaced outdoor area, and also to wear them when visiting the bar, toilets or merchandise stand. ANYONE ARRIVING WITHOUT A MASK MAY BE TURNED AWAY WITH NO REFUNDS OFFERED.

RAIN DATE: In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent to all ticket holders on the day of the event and the show will be postponed until the following Saturday 22 August. Refunds will be offered to those unable to reschedule in the event of rain.
