Message to Bears + Tim Gill
Presented by: Coo Promotions and Coo Coo Club0 | OXFORD: Jericho Tavern |

‘With a debut record produced by ex-Yourcodenameis:milo man Justin Lockey ready to go in early 09, via Erased Tapes, this Kent-based quintet find themselves on the cusp of what looks to be a very promising career.’ Ones to watch in 2009
– Rock Sound
'Easy comparisons of their work float right to the top with all the gusto that you’d expect of Explosions In The Sky or Mogwai. Hailing from the UK, Codes starts with all the right moves and then goes quiet only to erupt in a monolith of sound minutes later.' – The Drop (US)
With their harmonious and blissful sound they weave guitar melodies, liable to explode any minute. If you still can’t imagine intense music without vocals then you will be surprised how easily these boys will let you forget this prejudice. Energetic and charming at once, surprising and unpredictable at all times.
After receiving critical acclaim on both domestic (repeat plays by legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens) and international stations for their first double A-side ‘Distant Street Lights / Fractures’, and successful tours throughout the UK and Europe, CITC are set to take 2009 by storm. With their debut album recordings completed under the experienced eye of Justin Lockey (Bloc Party/ Yourcodenameis: Milo/Enter shakari), and a promotional video captured by US film-maker Mike Hedge (Burning Man - As the Dust Settles), their new release on Erased Tapes Records is all set to go. ‘Paper Canyon’ will see the light of day on June 1, 2009.

MESSAGE TO BEARS
Jerome Alexander creates beautiful soundscapes by overlaying acoustic guitar lines, piano, percussion, samples and strings.
He has had two limited pressings of his debut EP1 both sell out, and debut album ‘Departures' can be ordered from Dead Pilot Records. A VERY rare chance to see Jerome perform live, alongside Tim Gill - the very special viola player with The Alchemists, who performed at Coo's Oxfringe gig with the Epstein in April.
