“Rocking Gypsy musical minestrone”
TZIGANARAMA £10
(cigar-na-rame); a panorama of Tzigani (Gypsy) music.
Three virtuosos of Balkan and Gypsy swing music -Tziganarama Chris Haigh - Violin, Alan Dunne - Accordion, Viktor Obsust - Double Bass
Monday 24th August
Tziganarama brings you music from the dark and mysterious doinas of Romania, the baffling rhythms of the Balkan horos, Cossack dances, swinging Gypsy Jazz and slinky New York Klezmer. Tziganarama have played everywhere from the mud-swamps of Glastonbury to a mafia den in Beirut - all with their customary off beat charm and exuberance.
"Anyone who has ever fallen under the spell of the capricious, passionate folk music of Eastern Europe will certainly enjoy Tziganarama's Tree of Life, an album bustling with uninhibited exuberance and infectious energy."-(musician magazine)
£13 on the door - open at 6 food till 10
