The Wilderness Yet combines the acclaimed talents of folksinger Rosie Hodgson, traditional
fiddler Rowan Piggott, and guitarist-flautist Philippe Barnes. Independently, they have
earned audiences’ esteem as consummate musicians; together, they weave an eclectic
tapestry of traditional and original songs and tunes; from a cappella three-part harmonies
to luscious instrumental arrangements.
---------------------------
Alastair Caplin and Ewan Macdonald have been playing Gaelic songs and Highland fiddle tunes together with delicacy and fire for nearly a decade.
Fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist Ewan Macdonald plays the music of the Highlands of Scotland, where he grew up, and Appalachian Old Time, its close relative from across the Atlantic.
With his fiddle playing described as “Exquisite, passionate playing” (Scotsman) and his film composing as “Extraordinary” (The Times) and “One to look out for, a rising star” (Howard Goodall, Classic FM), Alastair Caplin has already made a heavy impact on the UK music scene since his emergence as a professional musician.
