The trees are in full bloom and the sun is shining bright (well some of the time at least). As well as welcoming the season of warmth and life, the Cafe is proud to welcome the magnificent Amy Douglas as our featured storyteller for June. Amy will be joining us to share some of the tales of world- renowned traditional Scots Traveller storyteller and ballad-singer Duncan Williamson In her wonderful show : “The Trouble with being King”

Claiming a crown, ruling a kingdom, raising princes and princesses in safety – these are tricky triumphs and the path to success is littered with stories. From rags to riches and back again, becoming King does not always guarantee living happily ever after.
