[Day 7: 20/08/2021]

Withnail and I (Bruce Robinson, 1987):

Loosely based on the director’s life in London in 1960, this black comedy classic is the perfect Friday night boozy entertainment. Two unemployed actors, Marwood (Paul McGann) and his alcoholic friend, Withnail (Richard E. Grant) live in a squalid Camden flat and do little more than visiting the job centre and the pub. One day they embark on a holiday to the countryside "by mistake". In line with the popular drinking game, audience members are encouraged to embrace the Dyonisiac spirit of the film and match the characters drink for drink. That’s 9.5 glasses of red wine, half a pint of cider, one shot of lighter fluid, 2.5 shots of gin, six glasses of sherry, 13 glasses of whisky and half a pint of ale. Or maybe not. This represents 14 times your recommended daily alcohol intake and is potentially fatal if consumed over the duration of the movie (of 108 minutes).

COVID Safe Measures: The UK Government has announced that all the measures will be lifted on June 21sr. Any changes regarding this policy will be immediately addressed. Please do not attend the event if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
