SPEAKERS CORNER QUARTET

Fresh from a series of headline shows at London’s legendary Jazz Café as well as recently opening for Jazz Legend Herbie Hancock at The Royal Festival Hall, this innovative 4 piece built notoriety after a series of packed out improvised performances at the monthly cult Hip-Hop night Speakers Corner. The Quartet have worked with artists including Soweto Kinch, Immortal Technique & Blak Twang and continue to experiment with their fusion of Jazz, Classical & Hip Hop styles. Solo material in review has been compared to the work of Stravinsky, John Coltrane & J Dilla.

With support from

SWALLOWING THE SEAS

STS focus on slow tempos, dense textures and lyrics of obsession, faith and religion, and extreme human irrationality. The sound is mainly influenced by the shoegaze-slow-core and darkwave genres of the late 80s. The band consists of members of Kula shaker, Morviscous, Hazlitt, and soon, Slushy Guts and Duke of Zuke.

THE ETIQUETTE PROJECT

The Etiquette Project is the creation of Loz KeyStone and Max McCabe. It’s sound is largely inspired by the freak folk movement of artists such as CocoRosie and the electronica of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Burial and Au Revoir Simone. Emotive and lyrically cryptic.
