terrace cred. presents:
Andy White is a Belfast singer-songwriter whose first EP 'Religious Persuasion' (on the Stiff Records label) and 1986 debut album 'Rave on Andy White' kick-started a career which includes twenty albums (and a fab box set), two books of poetry and a novel.
He's written with Peter Gabriel, formed supergroup ALT with Tim Finn and Liam O Maonlai, had a close association with and compering WOMAD, won Ireland’s top music awards and toured the world many times over, solo or in various combos, with his acoustic guitar. Andy has lived in Belfast, Dublin, Switzerland and is, currently, still hunkered down in Melbourne.
In the New Year, Andy White re-emerges from lockdown and picks up where he left off, doing what he loves best. And that includes an essential return to a very favourite tiny venue on the South Coast.
Andy is one of our very favourite artists, too, and, after too long a gap, we're very happy to bring this 21st Century Troubadour back to The Greys, Brighton and our home (where he'll doubtless be rifling through my record collection once again...).
