The music of the Oysterband defies definition. With the power riffs of Alan Prosser on guitar vying with the hard-edged violin of Ian Telfer, backed by dynamic bass, cello and drums, their music has been influenced by all manner of music, culture and style, but the heartbeat of the band has always been a deep-rooted love of the traditional music of Britain. Making fine music since 1978, the most exciting time in Oysterband's considerable history could be right now……
