A double headliner. From Wiltshire singer, accordionis and whistle player Georgia Lewis. From Hampshire singer, guitarist extraordinary and folk song collector Jon Wilks.
Georgia Lewis blends ballads of nature, love, loss and longing with great depth and passion. Nominated for the 2018 BBC Radio 2 Folk Horizon Award, winner of the Future of Young Folk Award, Ely Band Competition and Priddy’s, recently revived, Agility Mendip Stepping Competition, Georgia’s been “making a name for herself through really well received concerts” Julie Fowlis. Her debut album ‘The Bird Who Sings Freedom’ was described as “an impeccable British folk album” (Songlines) and received a glowing five-star review from Rock’n’Reel magazine.
Jon Wilks writes about folk music and performs it when people let him. His live shows are an amusing mix of folk song performance and conversation, throwing in tidbits of weird and wonderful information about the original singers and collectors that he has come across during his writing research. The legendary Martin Simpson described Jon as "a fine guitarist" and "a great singer".
