The Bracknell Poetry Slam will be returning to The Couch on Tuesday 16th November starting at 8pm, Each poet has 3 minutes to perform their poem, which must be their own work. Volunteer judges from the audience will mark each poet out of 10. After two rounds the scores are added together and the top 3 poets compete in a final round. Between each round there will be a chance for poets who do not wish to compete to read one of their own poems, still with the 3 minute time limit. The compere will adjudicate if there are any problems. There will be prizes for all three finalists. Audiences are encouraged to participate in an atmosphere of fun and support for the poets. Slams are spontaneous and unpredictable events. They rely on participation and atmosphere as much as the poems. Admission £5.00. Performing Poets get free admission.
