Hosting their first IRL show since their 20th anniversary celebration in Feb 2020, YWMP bring their friends Stealing Sheep to town for their first Oxford headline show in 5 years! The night will also double up as the launch of the YWMP 2022 risograph calendar to help raise funds for the project.
Stealing Sheep are an electronic pop trio that create experimental audio-visual shows using synchronised light art, synthesisers, bass grooves and a heady mixture of live and electronic beats. This one-off headline celebrate YWMP with an exclusive collaborative performance with YWMP director Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani.
Rhythm Sport brothers Laurie and Sam Crombie return to their home town of Oxford after a move to Liverpool 15 years ago where they founded the Kazimier and Invisible Wind Factory venues. Rhythm Sport is an interactive dance party - guided fitness with a live soundtrack that connects to your heartbeat and breathing in perfect rhythmic synchronicity.
Oxford-based electronic-pop artist Julia-Sophie has self-released 2 records, 2020’s lush debut EP ‘y?' and another beauty, ‘3’ in April this year. Both releases have established her spectral, avant-pop, infused with experimental electronics alongside artists like FKA Twigs, Kelly Lee Owens and Ela Minus.
All ages show with under 18s being accompanied by adults / wheelchair accessible venue / free gig buddy tickets / inclusive, safe space for all
Pricing is pay what you can between £5 and £20 and all profits will be going to YWMP to continue their fundraising towards providing an inclusive, supportive space for young women and non-binary people to get together to make music, learn new skills, express themselves, and grow in confidence.
