The Glasgow Phoenix Choir is delighted to be performing another concert in the Freemasons’ Hall. This year we are celebrating 122 years of choral excellence – 72 years as the Glasgow Phoenix Choir and 50 years as the Glasgow Orpheus Choir. The choir is directed by our conductor, Cameron Murdoch, who joined us in 1987 as Accompanist and Depute Conductor and who became our Conductor and Musical director in 2019. Cameron is a talented musician and arranger who is also full-time music teacher and is Organist and Choir Master of St. John’s Renfield Church in Glasgow’s West End.
The choir is pleased to announce that our accompanist in this year’s season of winter concerts will be Matthew McIlree.
