Online history talk about Bevois Mount with Ally Hayes and Wendy Stokes. Ever since the Earl of Peterborough spotted the mount while bowling down the valley in his carriage and decided to make it the picturesque pinnacle of his country estate, the harp-shaped piece of land that is Bevois Mount, has remained intact. The actual mount is no more, exploited and sacrificed for its gravel to make the streets which overlay the gardens, orchards and fields of the old earl’s estate.

Over the three hundred years of its existence the area has been the background to some remarkable history and a cavalcade of characters who have helped to shape it.Please help support us by choosing how much you are happy to pay for this session.
