The Distortion Project proudly presents the Grand Final of the 2022 Metal 2 the Masses Northern Ireland competition. The Winner will secure a slot on the prestigious New Blood stage alongside Heavy Metal titans such as BEHEMOTH, EXODUS, LAMB OF GOD ,TESTAMENT, MERCYFUL FATE, LIFE OF AGONY, HATEBREED and many more. After 5 intense Heats and 3 Semi-Finals, we have this incredible line-up. 6 bands will fight it out for the right to play Bloodstock 2022. There are additional prizes on offer too, listed below.

Bloodstock representative and all round top bloke SIMON HALL will be in attendance and he'll pick the winning band. Running order will be drawn at random as per previous heats but Simon will have the final and only say on who represents Northern Ireland at Bloodstock 2022.

Band 2: 8.45 - 9.15
Band 3: 9.30 - 10.00
Band 4: 10.15 - 10.45
Band 5: 11.00 - 11.30
Band 6: 11.45 - 12.15

Simon will announce the winner after the last band has played.

++2022 PRIZES++

in addition to securing a coveted slot on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock 2022, VIP access and camping for the entire festival and access to the press tent on the day they play, the winning band will also get their travel expenses covered up to the value of £400 courtesy of Voodoo Belfast. In addition, should the band be agreeable, I will sign the band to my newly re-launched record label Distortion Project Records and put out their next release. In conjunction with this, JSR Audio have kindly donated the recording, mixing and mastering for 4 tracks to go on the EP or album (all to be discussed with the winning act)
