Pestival gets off to a flying start with its opening event How Insect Are
We?, hosted by the London Zoo. Join leading scientists, artists and
thinkers to discover how the most despised creatures on earth, insects,
bite back and reclaim their central place in our lives at Pestival's
cutting-edge symposium.
Join the debate which includes one of the world's leading experts on ants
and TED speaker, Deborah Gordon, the cutting edge designer Natalie
Jeremijenko who works with neuroscience, biomicry and engineering, and
cultural critic Professor Steven Connor to dissect and discover how
insects are nature's greatest architects, inspire economics, philosophy
and dance, and even can unlock the workings of the human brain and genes.
Perhaps we are closer to the humble fruit fly than the monkey. GO to
http://pestival.org/ for more information.
