We are very pleased to have Sophie Crawford playing at Rosslyn Court.
She comes very well recommended.
Sophie Crawford is a folk musician and theatre maker from London.
Her debut album ‘Silver Pin’ was released in 2018 and was Mainly Norfolk’s 2018 album of the year.

As a performer she has worked on the West End (War Horse, Amelie the Musical) and toured internationally (Translunar Paradise).

As a theatre maker she is currently undertaking the Arts Council Funded ‘Meemaw Project’ and the Instep funded project ‘Castle Building’ exploring the links between sign language and step dancing.

She is the co-founder of Queer Folk, which promotes awareness of LGBTQIA+ history in traditional culture. Queer Folk has received support and is undertaking residencies with The Alan Surtees Trust, the EFDSS, Britten Pears Foundation and The Sage Gateshead.

She is the co-founder of BOYZ a drag king band which is performing its next show on 25th november at Streatham Space

She runs the Harrison Singaround, an open, free singing session which takes place on the last Saturday of every month, 2-5pm at the Harrison.

She is interested in women’s history, queer history, traditional music, dance, drag and the way all of these things intersect.
We are taking Covid-19 very seriously at Rosslyn Court.
You are very welcome.
We will take your contact details at the door for track and trace. Please don’t travel here if you feel unwell.
This is a seated and listening gig. It’s a very informal and friendly venue.
The room is air conditioned and well ventilated. Groups of seats are separated by tables. The stage has a stage screen and air extraction so aerosols are removed.
Rosslyn Court is accessible, all on one level.
The sound is superb here thanks to our amazing sound engineer, Jon.
The first hour of the gig will be live streamed by Roger or Phil and after a short break there will be an extended session for the live audience only. Live streaming viewers are asked to donate to the artists. They will be tanked by Sandra who also hosts the live chat.
This is a unique opportunity to spend time in the company of great performers and have that amazing experience that only comes with attending a real live concert.
Yes, of course there will be a raffle… when you buy a ticket you are entered for the raffle. You could win a CD from the performer OR a “Who Gives A Crap” toilet roll. Heady stuff.
There will be a bar. Gadds and Time and Tide Community beer is sold here…. We grow the hops in our garden which were used to make the T&T Community beer, We are a member of the Deal community hop farm initiative.
Just don’t forget to ask for cake. There will be cake. And peanuts.
Please be in your seat by 7.10 pm…Latecomers will be embarrassed to enter after live streaming has started.
Hope we see you here at Rosslyn Court soon in this unique little venue. There’s always excellent music and a great atmosphere at Rosslyn Court.
We are on the corner with St Pauls Rd. Look out for the award winning garden.
