Event information

Dom Prag and Lizzy Hardingham share the bill in what promises to be a fantastic evening of Folk music.

Folk singer, Dom Prag mixes traditional folk with classical guitar to create a complex, melodic and sometimes thunderous sound. His songs are stories, folk tales, love letters - joyous, hopeful and heart-breaking in equal measures. He crafts arrangements to traditional folk songs that are imaginative and rousing while staying true to the spirit of each song. With his nylon strung guitar his phenomenal playing owes a lot to classical technique.

He tours throughout the UK and is a regular performer at folk festivals. In July 2020, between lockdowns, he moved onto a narrowboat and since then has lived on the canals. Despite Covid restrictions he was also finished Needle & Thread, his 2nd album, produced by Phil Beer. Recording was disrupted by lockdowns but with some contributions recorded remotely and some socially distanced sessions recorded at Phil Beer’s studio in Devon it finally saw the light of day. Dom is touring to promote the album in 2022.

"The superb Dom Prag" (Phil Beer).
"Watch out for Dom, his star is definitely on the rise." (Julie Matthews, While & Matthews).
"What a voice! Together with his brilliant guitar playing he is the real deal - only a matter of time before Dom Prag is a true Folk Star. Catch him whilst you can." (Charles Gale, Forest Folk Club).
"Dom Prag will be big very soon." (Dai Jeffries, Folking.com)

Indomitable folk musician and ornate songstress, Lizzy Hardingham, is paving her way as a powerhouse performer with "beautifully delivered songs that sing straight to the heart". This paragon of vocal vigour and songwriting sorcery has supported the likes of Lady Maisery, Gilmore&Roberts and Bob Fox (to name a few) and is emerging gracefully into the world of headline shows. 2019 saw her storm the UK folk club and festival scene, including Cambridge Folk Festival, while in 2020 she captivated online audiences with "a voice that could fill a stadium and the sensitivity to bring a room to attentive silence". For the last year, Lizzy has been working closely with the English Folk Expo and working on "firmly nailing her place as one of the rising stars of the folk scene".
