Celebrating the life of the late great DJ John Peel (30th August 1939-25th October 2004) with Gerry Colvin (Terry & Gerry), David Lance Callahan (The Wolfhounds) and Helen McCookerybook (The Chefs/Helen & The Horns).

Doors 7.30pm, Helen McCookerybook 8-8.45, David Lance Callahan 9-9.45, Gerry Colvin & special guest Trish Power 10-11. Free parking after 5pm at County Hall, also High St & other car parks nearby. Bus stop to Brighton just over the road. Lovely venue, Harveys beer, great garden

Please note Piranhas Four+ are unfortunately no longer playing. The amazing animated Gerry Colvin steps in. "Hurrah"! Early 80s he co-founded and fronted John Peel's favourite skiffle-cowpunk indie outfit Terry & Gerry. Expect to hear T&G tunes and Gerry's current music. Fab accordionist Trish Power also plays at this show.

David Lance Callahan from Peel faves The Wolfhounds and Moonshake performs solo with great songs from recent LP English Primitive 1 and his forthcoming follow-up album due this November. Helen McCookerybook, founder member of the The Chefs and Helen & the Horns recorded several sessions for John Peel. Now a solo artist, author and documentary maker Helen performs live all over the UK and Europe. She'll be playing songs from a new album, released October 7th alongside older material.
