An evening of Drama, Poetry and Music focusing on the lives of people who fought in two World Wars, those who were invited to rebuild Britain, their lives, their experiences. With short dramatic pieces, music and poetry and featuring: writer, actor, singer and poet Antonette Clarke-Akalanne, originally from Barbados and was invited by Enoch Powell, to come to the UK, worked Greenwich, is now studying for her Masters in Black Humanities in Bristol University. She performed her poem Windrush in 2018 in Houses of Parliament and is launching her new book ‘Euanca’ at this event. There will be music from local singer/songwriter Phiyah Stone and performance by professional actors.
