On first appearance, one might wonder how this youthful vocalist interprets songs of a period long before her years. Yet, when first hearing her, she communicates with such longing and passion, transcending boundaries of era and style, making the songs of the classic American Songbook truly her own. "As a singer, I believe that I'm telling a story. So I never sing a song that I can't connect with in some way." A statement that rings true in every nuance and phrase she sings.
Elisa has not come from a musical education background like many of her contemporaries. And her sound is refreshingly modest and equally charming. She has just released her debut album ‘Carry Me Home’ which demonstrates her breadth of artistry; from up-tempo swing to heart-breaking ballad, mellow folk to gospel. It is produced by former Amy Winehouse MD, Femi Temowo, and features Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse), Larry Bartley (Courtney Pine) and Ivo Neame.
