The KT Bush Band - Performing LIVE for the first time since 1977, what we present here isn't so much a Kate Bush tribute act as dedicated and impassioned channelling of that remarkable artist's work... Featuring original members of Kate Bush's "KT Bush Band", back together again to recreate the music that launched a global career.
Featuring members of Kate Bush’s original band, The K.T. Bush Band bring Kate’s music to life promising an unforgettable evening of live music . The band will play two sets with an interval. The K.T. Bush Band was formed in 1977 with Kate Bush on vocals and piano, guitarist Brian Bath, drummer Vic King and bassist Del Palmer. They performed many of Kate’s songs such as ‘James and the Cold Gun’, ‘Them Heavy People’ and ‘Oh To Be in Love’ long before they were released on Kate’s seminal first album ‘The Kick Inside’ in 1978. Brian and the team are back on the road with The K.T. Bush Band performing the music of Kate Bush. They are joined by Sallie Anne Hurst on Vocals, Steve Bevan on Bass, Emily Francis on Keys and Pete Turtle on Drums performing two live sets the majority from Kate’s early days with many hits and anecdotes throughout the evening.
In 1977, a group of friends were performing together with a talented young lady whose artistry was soon to be captured in the studio by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, an artist whose unique style was soon to launch her on a record breaking solo career. In 2013 Vick King and Brian Bath reunited to perform some of the early songs again, adding the much loved solo repertoire that developed later.
Queen Of Uncool - no, not a late minute performance by Lizzy Von Battenberg, this Queen is waaaay cooler than she let's on. A brilliant songwriter, whether rocking out with her hard grunge combo, or in her more introspective, reflective electro mode, which is where we will find her this evening. Do yourself a favour and get in to see her at 8pm sharp. A great addition to a Kate Bush tribute night.
