“Based on a book of the same name by Eric Hemery (my grandfather), this talk focuses on some of the key routes that offered safe passage across Dartmoor for pack ponies, tinners, wool merchants (jobbers), peat cutters, monks, sailors, coffins...and more. Hear the history of Trans-Moorland Tracks such as the Mariners' Way, Jobbers' Road, The King Way, and the Inter-Moorland Tracks such as Black Lane, The Teignhead Road, Peat Cutters Track, and Church Ways.”
