Join Camidge & Stringer in The Ivor Potter Hall at The Parkhouse Centre for this special fundraising event for Bude Sea Pool.

Drip, drip, drip. Sealed up and forgotten, under the Penzance promenade, lies an underground swimming pool.

Splash!

In 1890, two young women meet while taking the waters. Over the years as they continue to bathe, a stream of stories trickles between them: Peeping Toms, the Titanic, WW1 loss and the scandal of the Cornish carnival queens.

An epic tale which spans 70 years of Cornish bathing, until the last gurgle goes down the plughole.

The performance includes original music, film, authentic photographs & news clippings and live performance.

Pool Under the Prom lasts 100 mins plus an interval, giving a total running time of around two hours.

The show played to an enthusiastic audience of over 100 at the Acorn, Penzance on September 1st 2018, and here are some of the comments:

This performance is one of 23 professional Open Air Theatre shows from May - Aug 2022. This is the only indoor show!
