Join artist Lisa Traxler on a guided tour of her latest exhibition at the gallery, Time Traveller, as she explores the inspiration and processes behind the artwork.

This tour will last approximately an hour.

Time Traveller is on display in Southampton until 8 October.

Lisa Traxler is a contemporary artist based on the Isle of Wight, UK. She has been recipient of a number of awards and has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout the UK and Europe. Her work is held in both public and private collections. Traxler’s work is multidisciplinary, combining painting and 3d form responding to landscape and architectural spaces. A former fashion editor and costume designer, the natural evolution of her thought process is evident in her artworks from spacial configuration to the intricacy of colour. Her recent Arts Council England Awards enabled the solo exhibition, ‘Blast Wall’ at The Foundry Gallery, London, 2021 and ‘Dazzle + Disrupt’ West Gallery, Quay Arts, Isle of Wight, 2021, enriching her practice empowering new bodies of work and a fuller analysis of her unique slotted sculptures for the solo exhibition ‘Time Traveller’ Southampton City Art Gallery, 2022.
