This August 20th, Get yourselves down to the Frog and Fiddle for an evening of the best in UK independent blues! Featuring the mighty 'Bluesman Mike Francis' as we welcome him to the Barn for the very first time! Also featuring support from local legend 'Luke Philbrick' and 'Ged Wilson'!

BLUESMAN MIKE FRANCIS
Bluesman Mike Francis was recently involved with a national project to broaden audience engagement for the Blues genre and as a former finalist himself, became the UK events coordinator for the European Blues Awards 2016 -18. Since 2015 Mike has also co-organised Manchester Blues Festival and having first toured Europe decades ago has performed at International Blues Music Day Croatia, Guitar Festival of Great Britain, BBC 6 Music Festival, Acoustic Festival GB & hosted '30 Years of Colne' at Great British R&B Festival 2019. He also guested for award winning guitarist Erja Lyytinen on her 2019 European tour and is ambassador for a brand of UK made 12 string guitars. Latest album ‘New Era Blues’ is set
for Autumn 2022 release.

LUKE PHILBRICK
Innovative roots rock music drawing on traditional blues, jazz and folk influences and with frequent forays into gypsy-tinged psychedelia. Breathtakingly powerful vocals, raw delta blues styled guitar and an almost tribal foot-stomping beat combine to create a special atmosphere. The Songs are distinctive and original relating to subjects such as slavery, losing one’s religion, death, cowboys and father-in-laws going to hell!

Hailing from Gloucestershire, in South West England, Luke Philbrick has built up a strong local fan-base and always leaves audiences wanting more! Usually performing alongside 'The Solid Gone Skiffle Invasion', Luke's shows often feature homemade instruments & improvised jam sessions - Luke's performances range anywhere from just himself taking to the stage for a more stripped-back approach, all the way up to seven or so performers if the audience wants to party on into the night!

GED WILSON
Ged Wilson is now well established on the British blues scene. He has toured the nation and has four albums under his belt. With much radio airplay and favourable reviews Ged is now starting to make his mark.

Armed with his weapons of mass disruption Ged creates guitar vibes, harp wails, from the heart vocals all spiced up with a dash of laconic humour to give a full on upbeat show. This is blues for the 21st Century; get on board!
