We're super excited to be inviting you to join us for James Yorkston's Christmas Tour. A leading light in the Scottish Folk scene Jame's influence goes far far beyond. We first got to know him as an original member of the hugely respected and inspirational Fence Collective. In our opinion, they were a key catalyst behind the birth of alt-folk. When Green Man Festival first began James, and the rest of the Fence Collective and Domino Records were also a key influence on it's artistic style.

James was soon signed by one of our favourite ever label Domino Records - another huge influence on the alt-folk scene. He's been releasing music on Domino ever since.

We like to put on events where you can lose yourself and fall in love with life again. For our first music gig since our Summer Sessions in 2018 James couldn't have been a better way to welcome you all back.

We're also doubly blessed because we'll be also welcoming Viking Moses. Baltimore musician Brendon Massei sings with a deep and haunted voice reminiscent of Mark Lanegan, Will Oldham, and David Eugene Edwards. But like those masters, Massei is adept at hiding beautiful, tender, and positive messages that are shrouded in mystery and melancholy. ps we nicked those last few sentances from his bandcamp page - if it aint broke don't fix it!
