Since our reboot, On The Edge Comedy has been going from strength to strength with our famed 'Friday night comedy at Wednesday night prices' and we're delighted to announce this month's show will feature the fantastic Meryl O'Rourke ("Inspiringly funny" - Frankie Boyle) as headliner with Ben Clover ("A delight!" - Chortle) opening!

Acclaimed stand-up comic and accomplished TV writer Meryl O'Rourke, revels in her bitterness. A potty mouthed potty trainer, she has delighted comedy audiences, written some of the best gags on telly and even hosted pop concerts (the last one to 12,000 people!)

She supported Frankie Boyle for part of his last tour, at his request. She also supported him at the Hammersmith Apollo. In his book 'Work! Consume! Die!' he calls Meryl "Inspiringly funny".

Ben has won lots of awards and written for Comedy Central and the BBC and done seven solo Edinburgh fringe runs. We have seen him and he's great! He's a returning former Edge headliner, so that should tell you all you need to know.

In support we have local renaissance man comic/promoter/photographer Jimmy Ennis (he'll be focusing on the first one of those), returning-to-stand-up local legendary comic and promoter Joe McCarthy (again he'll be focusing on the first of those) and Edge newbie the force of nature that is Mikee Martelle (he is incapable of focusing on anything)! The night will be ably and amiably lubricated by promoter and regular host Dan Fardell

All that for £8 on a Friday night, pinch yourself, you're not dreaming. There's even a wacky new mural upstairs at the Caz!

Please note: gig starts at 8pm prompt, doors at 7.30 - please arrive as early as possible as it can take a while to get drinks and get seated. All line-ups subject to change.
