The London International Animation Festival - the UK’s largest and longest-running animation festival - is back with 10 days of amazing screenings, talks and visits from local and international animators. We are especially excited to return to the Horse Hospital with 3 nights of talks and screenings from several of the world’s best animators.

We are delighted to welcome Latvian-American filmmaker Signe Baumane back to LIAF with her second independently-made animated feature film 'My Love Affair with Marriage'.

Signe Baumane turns her gaze inward with a semi-autobiographical musical exploration of love, sex, romance, and gender as viewed through the lens of neurochemistry. A Greek chorus of Latvian village women and a friendly neuron inside our protagonist’s brain connect the film’s multiple thematic threads, as we follow young Zelma from childhood to young adulthood and into middle age, through several marriages and across multiple continents, in search of true love.

This is the second of two programmes tonight, the Reka Bucsi programme screens beforehand at 7pm. You can buy tickets for both screenings for just £14/£10 + booking fee.
