Join us for our second annual New Year's Comedy Extravaganza (yeah, that’s right Extravaganza).
Private use of our glorious roof terrace and terrace bar, including a drink on arrival and a night of stand-up comedy from some of the funniest performers out there!
Our host Steffen Peddie will introduce Catherine Young, Kirsty Davies, Psychic Stu, and our Special Guest Headliner.
Catherine Young has been described as both "a dream" and "a joy" and "a perfect mix of energy, punchlines and emotion". She was winner of the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year in 2019
Kirsty Davies has been performing since 2019, and has performed at the Glee Club, and the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringes. She's also bloody hilarious.
Psychic Stu is a coming North East star. Beginning as a bit of fun during lockdown, he quickly surged to over 18,000 followers on TikTok, and since has gone on to regularly feature at The Stand and performed at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringes.
Steffen Peddie is our host and compere for the evening, he’ll be opening the show, and ringing in the New Year with you at midnight. He’s “the world’s Greatest Comedian, Wrestler, Scout Leader and Fantasist of his generation”. You’ve seen him on the telly box playing Big Keith in Hebburn (BBC2), you’ve heard him on Radio Newcastle, and you know him from around the clubs.
Now, our Headliner, it’s a secret. But they are super-special, and you’ll recognise them off of the telly. They’re local, they’ve been on the One Show, various things on ITV, Stand up Central, and they regularly tour as support to some of the biggest arena comedians in the UK. Their blurb even says that they are “Undeniably hilarious”!

The venue and roof terrace bar are upstairs in the iconic Victorian Central Hotel, and as such are not accessible for those who can't climb stairs.
