Join us for a Sunday lunchtime concert at the new Jamboree in King's Cross with The Fletcher Henderson Project, a 13-piece swing group featuring students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
Food is available via our resident Mana's Plant-Based Persian Cuisine! More info here: https://www.jamboreevenue.co.uk/695-2/
Directed by Malcolm Earle Smith, The Fletcher Henderson Project specialises in jazz of the 1930s. Including the music of the great Fletcher Henderson, Count Basie, Benny Carter, Mary Lou Williams and others in their repertoire, this exciting band also showcases the next generation of jazz soloists. Highly recommended for dancers and listeners alike!
Special guest for this performance will be Enrico Tomasso. Enrico has an international reputation as one of today’s leading jazz trumpet players. Specialising in jazz of the 1920s and 30s, and strongly influenced by Louis Armstrong (whom he met and played for as a child), Enrico’s exciting and soulful style is the perfect complement to the Henderson Project sound!
The Fletcher Henderson Project are...
Trumpets: Billy Rowlatt, Alex Pollack & Sam Virdie
Trombones: Marty Gionis & Cameron Scott
Saxophones: Joe Pickering, Talfan Jenkins, Ruben Ross & Morgan Wallace
Piano: Cal Herron
