Born to humble beginnings in Basildon, Essex, and proud of her heritage, she began performing from a young age in pubs and clubs in the area with her family of singers - she has spent her life honing her craft.

Influences including Karen Carpenter, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand have played their part in creating a voice that connects with all generations, and transcends time and genres.
