Folky Owls Presents Live Music in Child Okeford: Jackie Oates with Mike Cosgrave
Support by David Mitchell

Jackie Oates is an English Folk Musician (violin, viola and piano), Singer, Performer and Educator. She lives in Oxfordshire with her young family.
After 17 years of performing and seven solo albums, Jackie Oates must surely be considered one of the mainstays of an accomplished, informed and stylistically individual English traditional music scene.

"One of Folk's brightest talents." - The Guardian

"... the sweetest voice of her generation of English Folkies." - Independent on Sunday

"One of England's finest and most expressive traditional folk singers." - Trad Folk

Jackie will be performing with multi-instrumentalist Mike Cograve.
Mike’s varied musical career includes work with artists as diverse as the late “Celtic Soul” singer Jackie Leven and current star of the English scene Jackie Oates, as well as bluegrass virtuosos Daily Planet and highly regarded singer-songwriters Jenny Crook and Reg Meuross. He started out with renowned late 90s Celtic/World music crossover band Sin é.
