Ben See & Dom Stichbury are taking their intricate vocals on a UK wide tour in Spring 2023 to launch their debut album His Head Lies Heavy.

Fresh from Cambridge Folk Festival, opening for Tom Robinson and The Young ‘Uns, this new vocal duo create an intimate atmosphere wherever they go, weaving beautiful voices around songs old and new.

Based in South London, the intricate blend of their harmonies comes from a close friendship and shared love of singing. The duo perform original material alongside their interpretations of folk songs like Cobweb of Dreams, Children of Darkness, The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood…. touching on friendship, nature & what it means for two men to sing together in the modern day. Ben takes the high notes and Dom takes the low (most of the time).

Their debut EP Shoulder has been well received by audiences and industry, with extensive plays on BBC 6Music & Radio 3.

Dom is well known locally from singing with A Fistful of Spookies and The Spooky Men’s Chorale.

SINGING WORKSHOP 4.00pm-6.00pm, doors open 3.45pm
Join singers & choir leaders Ben (Fire Choir) & Dom (Chaps Choir, Bellow Fellows) for an afternoon of fun & uplifting harmony singing followed by a performance from the duo.

Ben & Dom (Ben See & Dom Stichbury) have been singing, teaching & writing songs together since 2019. They bring a wealth of experience as community singing leaders, arrangers & performers. After the success of their debut EP Shoulder (‘just amazing’ BBC 6MUSIC Tom Robinson), the duo are on a UK-wide tour in Spring 2023 to launch their first full length album His Head Lies Heavy.

Ben & Dom will teach a selection of easy-to-pickup songs in a fun and inclusive way. No previous singing experience is required. Following the workshop you can experience the duo's intricate & moving vocal sound as they perform a collection of songs drawing from their own material and arrangements of their favourite classics. Their thoughtful lyrics touch on friendship, nature and what it means for two men to sing together in this modern day.

Ben and Dom are experienced choir leaders & community musicians and have been sharing their love of group singing for many years. The two met through the community choir scene, and are passionate advocates for singing and the positive effect it can have on our lives.
