Old Town Churches Walking Tour

Join historian and guide Dr Cheryl Butler for a brand new walking tour exploring the history and stories of Southampton’s incredible ancient (and not so ancient) churches. The tour will include a number of incredible places of worship, including St Michael’s, Holy Rood and St Julien’s. You’ll gain insights into the way these churches helped sculpt the town and discover incredible tales of prisons, executions, refugees and much, much more.

This tour will begin in St Michael’s Square outside Tudor House and will last 90 minutes (finishing close to Holy Rood Church at 12.30pm approximately). Regrettably this tour is unsuitable for people with mobility concerns.

In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
