This is an intimate event with one of the UK's leading Blues Vocalists, Alice Armstrong. New Rock has put together o number of "Gothic Hall Showcases" bringing amazing talent to a a 12th century Gothic church in the little but beautiful town of Bungay, Norfolk. With its stunning architecture, amazing acoustics this is truly an amazing venue.
ALICE ARMSTRONG is a multi UK Blues Awards finalist, singer-songwriter from the UK, known for her wide vocal range, unconventional lyrics, enigmatic stage presence and powerful performances peppered with her trademark sense of humour.
She has spent the last few years on the stage of many of the UK's biggest rhythm and blues festivals. Her musical highlights during 2022 include working with the winners of the UK Blues Federation "Blues Band of The Year", The Cinelli Brothers, and she received a personal invite from Joe Bonamassa to perform with her full band on his "Keeping the Blues Alive" cruise in August 2023. Alice has also been busy working on a brand new album of original material and this is scheduled for release in the spring of 2023, after a run of individual track releases.
Following an invite from award-winning STEVIE WATTS (Steve Winwood, Secret Affair, Joe Louis Walker) to guest with his "Stevie Watts Organ Trio", Alice features on his latest critically acclaimed album "Mission to the Moon" and she regularly performs live with the trio. Out of this musical collaboration, Alice and Stevie have established themselves as a super talented duo, bringing original material from both Alice and Stevie into their set to the delight of their vast fanbase of loyal supporters.
