Cushion the Blow – genre challenging folk/country rock band return to Sutton Barn, Seaford for a second gig following our first foray in November. Lead by composer/keys player Nigel Goss who has composed/arranged nearly all the music the band features brilliant musicians including acclaimed saxophonist Andy Panayi and former leader ENO, LPO violinist Russell Gilbert. Vocals are lead by Ali Elson who also plays trombone. The line up of the band is drums, bass, keys, two saxes, flute, violin and two main vocalists. Guests include Popping the Cherry, Seaford parody duo, also doubling on bvs and accordian and Phil Baker, local composer will present two of his compositions. A new element will be our first pub choir session so come prepared to sing along to some classic tunes! Doors open 7:30 pm for 8:00 pm start. £8 at the door or less through Wegottickets.com Sutton Barn Community Club, Sutton Corner, Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 4QW. BYOB – there is an ‘offy’ nearby.
