Anita la Maltesa and Ramon Ruiz met in London where they joined forces creating Fiesta Flamenca. A wonderful display of flamenco dance, song, castanets, footwork, percussion and guitar. This spellbinding show, after many years, still captivates the audience from across the world.

Anita, whose sensual voice and breathtaking footwork, with her fellow artists and son Sebastian Ruiz on the cajon and percussion, portraying his musicality beautifully arranged with his father’s (Ramon Ruiz) inspirational guitar playing, evokes the true spirit ‘El Duende’ of Flamenco dance and music.

Together they take great pleasure in introducing to their ensemble two very talented guest artists direct from Spain.

REBECA ORTEGA - a young and upcoming flamenco dancer born in Madrid in 1992. For four years she lives, performs and teaches the art of flamenco in the UK, whilst completing her university studies. Her work spans out into many genres of the dance art forms. At age 19, she began her professional career collaborating with renowned flamenco artists worldwide. Today she continues to WOW her audiences, and this evening is no exception! Ole!

NATALIA MARÍN, Born in Seville. Natalia is a flamenco singer (cantaora) and has performed worldwide, sharing stages with famous flamenco figures namely, Jose de la Tomasa, Jesus Heredia, Juan Jose Amador, the renowned family Los Fernandez amongst others. This evening, I (Anita la Maltesa) am very proud to be combining our talents with these wonderful artists!

Their combined talent is woven together creating a dazzling display of virtuosity and emotions that spark the imagination of their audience transporting them to the heart of Andalucia. The result is an intense and passionate combination creating a spectacle of virtuoso performances and euphoria that can only be described as “breathtakingly beautiful.”
