We're thrilled to be back at Impington Village College for another top night of comedy!

Our Headline Act is ... Duncan Oakley,

Duncan Oakley has musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands and performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up that has seen him become one of the leading headliners in the business.

He has an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life. “Unlike some musical comics who rely on a guitar to get them through, Oakley’s routine deftly mixes the tunes with the stand-up” City Life. “Pure brilliance” Yorkshire Evening Post.

Our Opening Act is ... James Cook.

James is a professional comedian based in Birmingham, UK, with over 1,000 gigs worth of experience. His act has been described as “truly original” (Danny Wallace (off of the telly)) whereas he’s been called “suave and chirpy” by that publishing powerhouse, the Bromsgrove Advertiser.

Our Middle Act is ... Jules O'Brian.

Jules was shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, and performs at venues and festivals around the country, telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating. She is TalkTalk’s official voice – chosen by none other than the legend Bernard Cribbins – and her silly writings feature frequently in magazines including Prima and MamaLife. This former teacher’s relaxed and chatty style, crowd interaction and warmth, all served with a sardonic wit, make her a natural crowd pleaser.

Our MC is ... Ben Van der Velde.

Ben is a stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter. Over the past decade he has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway.

Sadly, Impington Village College PSFA have been unable to secure an alcohol license for the event on this occasion. This means we not being able to provide alcoholic refreshments this Friday. We will still be selling soft drinks and snacks.

Now for the GOOD NEWS!! This Custard Comedy is now BYOB! For those not in the know - that means Bring Your Own Bottle! Which means you get to choose your favourite bottle to sup while you’re entertained by the comedians!

We are able to allow audience members to bring their own bottle/s in return for a corkage fee*.
Corkage Fees:

Bottle of Wine/Prosecco £5 per bottle
Can of mixed spirit /Bottle of Beer/Cider £1.00 per item

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and hope that we have given you enough notice to pop to the shops.

*This is the minimum corkage per drink, if you wish to pay more than we will gladly and gratefully accept donations. Please be aware that this is not an ideal situation for the PSFA, the bar proceeds at Custard Comedy represents most of the fundraising for IVC.
