Event information

Beth Hughes (co-curator of Found Cities, Lost Objects) will be in conversation with artist Hannah Starkey (whose work is on display as part of the exhibition) to discuss aspects of how the built environment impacts on women’s experiences of the city; addressing themes ranging from safety and navigation to concepts of belonging and power. Explore the exhibition in the gallery from 5.30pm then join us in the lecture theatre from 6pm – 7pm.

Hannah Starkey is a photographer who has worked in both fine art and commercial photography. During the late 1990s she began to create large-scale works of a staged cinematic character, often featuring isolated women in anonymous interiors or urban environments.

In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
