This week at Jamboree we have a taster session for our upcoming four part corse that runs from February the 23rd til March 16th. Pete Ayres from shag Pile will be leading the class with live piano accompaniment from Ewan Bleach. The evening will then continue with a 3 sets from The Cable Street Rag Band until 11:30, with a free jam until 12:30 so plenty of time to try out your new moves!

Fun, fast, and easy to pick up, SLS dance is seeing a resurgence all over the Jitterbugging world. A little bit like Lindy Hop, a tiny bit like Charleston, quick to pick up and a dynamic and distinctive dance in its own right, join us at Jamboree and slip another dance under your belt!

We're delighted to be teaming up with the fabulously talented Ewan Bleach, who will provide live piano accompaniment throughout the classes.
Week one (16 Feb) is a taster session so you can see what St Louis Shag is about. We’ll cover the elements and give you enough for the social dance floor – which is handy, because the evening continues with a live 3-part set from The Cable Street Rag Band, followed by a free jam from 11:30-12:30. Plenty of time to try out your new moves!
If the taster whets your appetite, you can become a St Louis Shag Supremo by signing up for the full four part course running from 23 Feb – 16 Mar. Over the course we’ll work on moves, musicality, and sequences for social dancing – possibly even enough for a small performance should you fancy.
