We are very pleased to welcome again, one of the premier Smiths/Morrissey tribute bands in the United States, NYC’s The Salford Lads – back to the UK for a tour, and the annual Mozarmy fest happening in Manchester. Together since the winter of 1998, The Salford Lads have attained notoriety for their stunning, controversial, and original live shows, playing sets that have spanned the entire length of the Smiths catalogue, as well as Morrissey’s solo career.

Joining them this evening, we are excited to share four very special guests will appear on stage with the band—on vocals, Jose Maldonado of LA’s Sweet & Tender Hooligans, bass ace Johnny Bridgwood, playing Morrissey songs he performed on 20 plus years ago for the first time since his days with Moz (Vauxhall & I, Southpaw Grammar, Maladjusted), and drummer supreme, the backbeat of Morrissey’s earliest days dating back to 1988, Andrew Paresi (Viva Hate, Kill Uncle). And STOP PRESS Smiths/Morrissey producer (amongst a stellar plethora of others) Stephen Street has now joined the bill to play bass on a carefully chosen selection of songs he helped shape.

This performance promises to be an absolute must for all Morrissey admirers. Also tonight… The Roberts Family Band – like it says on the wrapper… parents, mum and dad, and their very talented kids (who you may well know from the ‘sister’ band Tiptoe Apollo) playing Morrissey + Smiths songs in a charming, intimate manner.

And it may be a school night but the party will keep going 'til late care of Jose Maldonado, the Mexican Morrissey, playing indie heavyweights and classics.
