A one day conference for women and gender minorities who are working in, or are looking to break in to, the music industry

Join us for this one day conference where we will host three exciting panels that dive in to the current issues being faced by women and gender minorities working in the music industry:
Why Do We Need a Creative Women’s Network: 12:15 - 1.15pm. Chaired by Gillian Morrison, with a panel of current Creative Industries students from Edinburgh College.
Gender & Neurodivergence in the Music Industry: 1.30 - 2.30pm. Chaired by Lisa Kowalski (musician at Selki), with Lou Mclean (musician), Faye Ryden (freelancer for Aimless Play, Wide Days, Academy of Music & Sound) and more TBC.
Women in Music: It’s Brutal Out Here: 2.45pm - 3.45pm. Chaired by Dr Diljeet Kaur Bhachu (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer at the MU), with Hannah Campbell (Queens of Noise), Jo Dargie (Freelance journalist), EJ Kempson (Musician, Queens Sounds), and more TBC.
Musical showcase to demonstrate the best of emerging female talent in Scotland: 7.15pm. Featuring music from Megan Black, Niamh-Sunshine and Oriana Setz.
Doors will open at 11.15am and deleagtes are invited to bring their lunch and network until the conference begins at 12.15.
This event is designed for women who want to work in the music industry, as well as those who are already well established in their career. Our aim is to bring creative women together in a safe and supportive space where they can connect, build community, and share lived experiences.
No matter who you are, or what stage of your career you’re at, we would love for you to join us.
