World Mental Health Awareness week is dedicated to promoting the understanding of mental health education, awareness, and advocacy. Our goal is to stand up to stigma and democratize wellness! With live performances from:

Tu-Kay & Ryan - Ash Tu-kay & Rebecca Ryan are a multi-award winning acoustic duo blurring the lines between folk, Americana and roots music. They have become known for their lush harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. Their songs encourage a positive outlook on life, even when things may be tough. They are optimists at heart and believe there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how small or distant it may seem.

Velvet Engine - Alt-folk. made in Chile but very much grown in Northampton. Velvet Engine manages to tell honest and heartfelt stories through her soft and soulful melodies. Influenced by everyone from Ghostpoet to Laura Marling, she is a pleasant reprise from the trials and tribulations of the day. The perfect music to relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea. look out for her next EP release this year!

Nerissa Simmone - Nerissa Simmone is songwriting vocalist and musical creative based in Northampton. Her voice belongs to no particular genre: she’s sings what she loves and she does it well! Over the last two years, Nerissa has toured the country with the Symphonica Orchestra (performing both their Ibiza Classics and History of D&B shows) and featured on the mainstream releases with trance DJ Thirdwave and the amazingly talented Hannah Williams (of Hannah and the Affirmations). She’s also released her first single last year and will be releasing her EP in 2023!

Hannah Litt -Hannah is an award-winning Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Antiracism Leader & keynote speaker & has been recently credited as a Top 100 Influential Muslim in the UK.
Hannah is a South Asian, Muslim Woman from the East African Diaspora with ADHD, Fibromyalgia, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and PCOS. She has been speaking openly about her intersectional journey with late diagnosis of ADHD and the challenges that have come with this in order to break down barriers. Hannah is a social justice and human rights campaigner and believes that by building an environment where people have Justice is the only way things will move forward.

Nick Wilson - Nick Wilson is a Speaker, Disabled Adventurer, army veteran and Suicide Survivor, who speaks of his lived experiences with mental illness, physical disability and surviving suicide, whilst championing accessibility and equality through his adventures. Nick founded Talk Mental Health CIC, a social enterprise to; champion men’s mental health and advocating for the sharing of our lived experience.

Salma Shah - Salma is a wellbeing researcher, small business owner and educator. Her current research focuses on nature connectivity and wellness. Her interest in this area began after experiencing sudden bereavement. She would take herself on long walks and runs and felt most calm when outdoors, among the trees. This inspired the iconic local women’s wellness walks, which have been running for the past two years. She will be sharing her simple everyday tools to help you feel good and connect with yourself.
