Join all three bands as they all release their new albums.
THE METATRONS
The Metatrons are a delightfully fuzzy indiepop band all the way from Hitchin. After signing to Chapter 22 Records in 2019 they released their "Deconstruction" album, which was a fantastic critical success, being called "The pinnacle of quality pop" and "a thunderous slice of pop majesty". Vive le Rock said the album was "bursting with bright, breezy driving rhythms...you should hear them"
The band toured the album, opening for Altered Images on their UK tour in 2022 to add to the already impressive list of great bands they've worked with - Echobelly, The Primitives, Dodgy, The Blockheads, The Membranes, Steve Craddock and Glen Matlock to name but a few.
2023 promises more great shows as they prepare to release their 4th album "Lumination" in June and hit the road again in the summer.

BLYTH POWER
Blyth Power were formed in 1983 by singer and drummer Joseph Porter, formerly of Zounds and The Mob. Even after forty years the band are still surprising audiences with their evolving blend of folk and punk rock. Joseph Porter’s strident vocals, delivered with gusto from behind a diminutive drum kit, are key to the band’s enduring appeal. While the music is defined by the standout melodies, the lyrics are packed with mischievous stories drawn from politics, literature and history.
This gig marks the launch of ‘The Power Behind The Throne’, the band’s 12th studio album and their first release for almost a decade. The long-awaited album features a dozen new tracks exploring themes such as fascism, folklore and the joys of being a squatter in the 1980s. With a new producer at the helm, and some superb guest musicians on board, the new album has reinvigorated the sound of Blyth Power while building on the band’s long history of unique and compelling songwriting.
The album will be launched this summer with a trio of gigs in Brighton, Hitchin and Leeds on June 16th-18th. The set will showcase many of the new songs alongside some old favourites.
POG
Pog is a 6 piece folk punk band from Brighton that was inspired in equal parts by the sun-drenched pop of Sarah Records and the politics of Crass. As a result, this violin, piano and accordion led acoustic thrashabout sits awkwardly somewhere between the two. Everyday vignettes of lives made remarkable by their mundanity, Pog has been in operation since 2000 and has played everywhere you can fit a band their size, from living rooms and poetry cafes all the way to festivals and squatted universities.
