We are pleased to welcome Clive Carroll back to the Red Lion with special guest Dariush Kanani. This will be the last night of his tour playing the music of John Renbourn.
Here is a rare, one-off opportunity to hear some of John’s greatest compositions performed live by one of the UK’s finest guitarists who regularly shared the same stage. Clive Carroll’s playing is quite simply jaw-droppingly good and like John, he is equally at home playing Mississipi Blues as he is playing arrangements of early lute music such as John Dowland’s Preludium. On stage, Clive’s entertaining performance transfixes audiences whether they are guitar enthusiasts or not.
Clive will be joined by Dariush Kanani who has emerged from the large crowd of young would-be guitar players by virtue of his stunningly good technique, inspired by his heroes John Renbourn and Bert Jansch, amongst others.
Expect to see and hear Clive and Dariush performing the music of John Renbourn and Bert Jansch together and as solo artists.
This promises to be an evening of virtuoso music not to be missed.
