Punky Reggae Party Special +Clash N Sleazy+(Stranglers Vs Clash Nite)+DJs We Got Killers

Punky Reggae Party – specialising in covers of punk/New Wave era songs from all your favourites, there’s always a lot of Clash content in these DC favourites’ live sets. And A fair few Stranglers numbers too. But tonight it’s Clash N Sleazy and so we’re gonna get a Stranglers complete set and a Clash one. Were they not the two punk times bands with the most clout, longest reach, most sales? I think so, The Jam aside maybe.

Gonna be a great evening, all your favourites from both acts played with vigour, love and respect. 5 Minutes or 48 Hours? White Riot or Meninblack? London Calling or London Lady?

PS- did you know Joe Strummer was considered as a replacement for Huge Cornball when he walked out of The Stranglers? A missed opportunity perhaps!

DJs We Got Killers – will play some of the bangers from both bands that didn’t make the live set tonight, alongside a smorgasbord of dancefloor filling finery. All eras, all genres, all true and we’ve been using theat strapline a lot longer than 6music too!
