Philosopher Julian Baggini and magician Callum Weaver will use the power of illusion to explore the illusions of selfhood. After the show, they will be discussing the magic of philosophy and the philosophy of magic with an audience Q&A.

Dr Julian Baggini, a patron of Humanists UK, and Bristol-based internationally acclaimed philosopher, public speaker and writer. He is the author, co-author or editor of over 20 books including How the World Thinks, The Ego Trick and, most recently, How to Think Like a Philosopher. He was the founding editor of The Philosophers’ Magazine, was academic director of the Royal Institute of Philosophy from 2019–2022 and is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Kent. Callum Weaver a close-up magician and mental health coach based in Bristol. He is a member of The Magic Circle - the world's premier magic society and multi award-winning Gold Star member of the Bristol Society of Magic, and the current 3-time holder of the Close-up Magician of the Year award. He has worked with Derren Brown who says: 'Callum is a brilliant and ingenious magician - he's fooled me many times'.
