The Austrian Cultural Forum London is delighted to invite you to this year's JazzExchange celebrating cutting edge Austrian music in a cultural exchange with some of the most exciting UK ensembles.
Headlining will be the Austrian Trio DSILTON, the band of Georg Vogel, David Dornig and Valentin Duit focusing on 31-tone compositions by Georg Vogel and David Dornig, written for custom made instruments which feature 31-tone split sharps keyboards, a 31-tone guitar and drums dividing octaves into 31 tones therefore emphasizing a plethora of microtonalities.
Support act will be Rich Perks and Julian Woods duo Xenharmonia who explore fresh sonic territory through the use of microtones, by combining fretlessness with quarter-tone and other fixed-fret guitar configurations.
