Presented by: TheRedHedgehog0 | LONDON: The Red Hedgehog |

P | Sunday 11th June, 2023 |
N | 3:30pm |
Frederic Chopin’s piano music is some of the most popular in the pianistic repertoire, much loved by audiences. Stephen Baron will play a selection of Waltzes, Nocturnes and Mazurkas as well as the dramatic Ballade No 3.
Narrator Marguerite Duncan-Sutherland will quote from his letters. Chopin was as gifted with words as he was with music, providing fascinating insights into his life and times, his tragic exile from Poland, the lively atmosphere of Paris, his relationship with the writer George Sand and the final year spent in England and Scotland, courtesy of Jane Stirling, his Scottish pupil and amanuensis. Stephen will also discuss the uniqueness of Chopin’s musical style.
